For me, music has always been about connection. The stories that make it into our songs are often those that we hold closest to our hearts: They are about love, longing, hope, loss, and connection. In recent years, I've been trying to find more space and time to reflect on this crazy world of ours through music.
Dreamer, 2021 I recorded this collection of songs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some were written long before the pandemic, others emerged during those dark days at home. Many of these songs in this collection are stories of places and people far away that I often found myself dreaming about while in the comfort of home. The track "Down the Line" features my good friend Lee Cadesky on mandolin. I hope you enjoy!
The Tara Hall collection, 2009 & 2012 This features a set of songs recorded in Montreal between 2009 - 2012, when I sang in the folk/bluegrass group Tara Hall with some of my dear friends! Pete's Sessions were recorded in our friend Pete's apartment with the original band members, and the McGill Sessions came later during a long, dark Saturday night in the McGill School of Music recording studio. This set of recording includes a few of our favorite covers as well as some of the favorite songs we wrote together.
