I grew up in a yoga-inclined household, where Sunday morning meditation replaced the typical New Englander’s church. I made my way back to the practice after a car accident injured my neck and back in 2008. This rediscovery of yoga and what it has to offer helped not only heal me physically, but changed my mental approach and attitude to life.
I completed my 250-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher’s Training in 2012 at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal and since, I have studied different forms of yoga around the world. Since 2014 I have focused more intently on the study and practice of Iyengar yoga, which has allowed me to practice in a new way, and revisit my old injuries with new precision and awareness.
With over a decade of teaching experience, I draw inspiration from both Iyengar Yoga and and Ashtanga Yoga and focus heavily on alignment and breath awareness In my classes, I encourage students to cultivate an awareness of connection both in the body and mind, and how our individual practice and help us connect better to the world around us.
